Fast Recipe is a web application that can work in your pc and phone,tablet due to responsiveness and help you find any type of recipe from food to drink.
The project was created by me Michael Mbea.
When it comes to Timeline, i don’t have any clue,but i know that i made it before the deadline.
Since i was working on this project alone,i had to view first the different aspect of the project.So my focus was into Front-end with Reactjs,UX/UI and a little bit of Back-end with the API integration.
As i progress throught the project,i found some difficulty with my time management because i have day job and i stduy at the same time.Coming back from work late hour and opening my computer to start another was not an easy task.The API integration was little hard but i managed to find a way to make it work.
When it comes to the story behind the idea.Many people these day work a lot and don’t always have an idea of what they are going to eat when they will be at home.Most of them prefer eating in a fast food instead of cooking due to time.So i decided ,why not create some kind of solution to allow people to get cooking or cocktails recipe in an easy way and fast.
Technical par of the application:
For the back-end API,i use Axios who is a Javascript library used to make HTTP requests from node.js or XMLHttpRequests from the browser that also supports the ES6 Promise API.Like i said before,integration was a little bit hard and confusing.But with some search and with the help of Axios,i finally found a way to handle the API integration and to set a certain behavior of the API call.
In such a short period think i have accomplished probably one of the biggest Challenges that is learning new tools and technology like React,Javascript and Firebase for the deployement.
Working on this App was a very good experience due the fact i choosed a technology that i never use before and with the time management and help from peers.
